Fade Leads Flag to Flag to Score Freedom Showdown Victory at Lake Erie

(NORTH EAST, PA) The third race of the Medina Upfit Great Lakes Truck Tour took the tour to Lake Erie Speedway in North East, PA. Brad Copen had won the first two races of the season, at Lorain Raceway Park and Painesville Speedway in May and led the championship standings heading into the Freedom Showdown at Lake Erie Speedway.

The field was lined up by points for their heat races and the feature event, the Freedom Showdown 30.  Jeffrey Fade, Jr. and Bailey Delfosse scored the Heat Race wins.

Jeffrey Fade, Jr and Chad Squires would line up on the front row for the Freedom Showdown 30, Fade broke away taking the lead off turn two while Squires battled for second place.  Fade opened up a comfortable lead over the rest of the field and held it until the halfway point when Brandon Huff cleared for second and started running Fade down, as the laps wound down, so did Fade’s lead over Huff.  Huff nearly got the back bumper of the #33 Fade machine with two laps to go but Fade pulled away, one last charge into turn 3 on the final lap kept the race for the win close but Huff couldn’t get close enough.  A photo finish for third place saw Bailey Delfosse pass championship leader Brad Copen for third at the finish line.

Jeffrey Fade, Jr scored the victory, his first of 2025, with Brandon Huff finishing second, Bailey Delfosse third, Brad Copen finished 4th with Joe Markowski completing the top five finishers.

The Medina Upfit Great Lakes Truck Tour heads to Midvale Speedway on Saturday, July 12th for the fourth race of the season.  Brad Copen leads Bailey Delfosse in the Championship Standings.
